Jul. 15th, 2008 02:51 pmDr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog: Check it out one they fix the site. It's a Joss Wheadon vanity project, has Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris, and SINGING. Plus it's only free until July 20th. Seriously, it's really cute and cheesy in a good way. A good way to waste time before your 8 PM Avatar Episode or Batman on Friday.
E3 - Nintendo Press: Boring. We knew about Animal Crossing, I don't care about Guitar Hero, and the improvements on the waggle stick are dull. Give me Starfox, Nintendo!
LOL VCU: I got an email today congratulating me on getting an A in ECON 210. It went on to encourage me to become an Econ major, and to go to the Econ club. Not happening. Do these people even read the information I send them?

Jul. 6th, 2008 12:53 amMan..the ending to Death Note was really disappointing. I think I was expecting something a little bit more, I dunno, epic? Loved the animation though, and the blood sprays were suitably epic, and I needed a good dramatic death scene since Avatar doesn't look like it's going to have one. But still. Lame.
And Near is still annoying as fuck. I wish it had been L instead. At least he was interesting.

Holy crap, Monarch/Dr. Girlfriend is my first canon OTP. But it's absolutely adorable and fucked up all at the same time. And for a second there..was the Monarch bish? (As bish as any character in VB gets, anyway) Still don't know his real name though, or what Dr. G said last season, unless I missed something. Which I probably did. :/

A Random Day for Random Videos
Apr. 6th, 2008 12:58 pmI hate when the weather's wet and gloomy like it is today. It tends to make me want to curl up in bed and read instead of actually getting any work done. So..I'll make a compromise and go troll around YouTube instead. First up, let's see some disturbing anime openers/closers!

In my area at least (though I'd bet they're doing it everywhere they service) Comcast has been slowly but surely whittling away at the basic cable package. They've been moving channels to the digital tier without replacing them. Now, I'm not currently on Comcast by choice, it's what my University provides and I understood that. However...I still pay for it by fees. I expect all the channels that you're supposed to get on basic cable. I can't change my tier until VCU does, and they won't change anything until Comcast completely gets rid of the basic cable tier. (Which still won't be for a while)
The important parts? They took Toon Disney off at the beginning of this year, which keeps me from watching the Savers dub. But what I'm really unhappy about? They're taking off Cartoon Network too! Which means no Adult Swim and no anime, unless I go through fansubs (which I prefer not to do for licensed series) or go on AS Video, which is really laggy on the VCU connection at least in my dorm. So....maybe I can convince my brother to set the DVR at home to record Death Note, Bleach, and Code Geass until May. Erg...Comcast, stop taking away the things that keep me sane!
